Maple Avenue Fire Department - Facilities and Apparatus

This page will provide you with several pictures of the Maple Avenue firehouse and showcase the six pieces of equipment in the department arsenal that are used to serve our community.

Trucks are named according to their capabilities. For example, "E" stands for engine and denotes a truck that can pump more than 1,000 gallons of water per minute. "T" stands for tanker which means the truck carries a minimum of 1,000 gallons of water. "L" means that a truck carries a certain number of ladders on the truck.

Function: first-due engine to all fires and provide water supply to EL-293.
Water: 3000 gallons
Pump: capable of providing 2,000 gallons per minute. Class "A" and "B" foam system.

Facility Pictures

Kitchen (East Side)

The kitchen provides a means to cook food for lengthy emergencies and when firefighters are required to spend the night at the firehouse. The department also hosts a variety of breakfast and dinner fundraisers throughout the year.

Kitchen appliances were purchases through donations and money raised through fundraisers by the members of the Maple Avenue Fire Department.

Kitchen (West Side)

Lounge

The lounge provides an area for the firefighters to relax and unwind after answering a call.

Couches and televisions were purchased through donations and fundraising efforts.

Meeting Room

The meeting room is used to host monthly meetings to conduct business.

The Board of Fire Commissioners also utilize this room periodically throughout the year for public meetings.

Pavilion

The pavilion is used to host fundraisers like chicken barbeques and open houses.

The pavilion was built by the firefighters of the company and paid for entirely with donated materials and funds raised through fund raisers.
