Employment Opportunity: District Treasurer/Deputy Secretary

The Greenfield Fire District is currently seeking qualified applicants for the position of part time Fire District Treasurer/Deputy Secretary.  The fire district treasurer serves as the district’s chief fiscal officer, and includes receiving, safeguarding, depositing and disbursing funds, preparing financial reports, managing bank accounts and investments. Key responsibilities include audit and budget management, payroll and payroll taxes, reconciling bank statements, providing financial reports.  Attendance at various board meetings is essential. The position requires accuracy, and strong communication and organization skills. The ideal candidate will have a combination of bookkeeping/accounting and secretarial skills; discretion and confidentiality in fire district business is required. Prior experience and individuals residing within Fire District Boundaries given preference.
